Emulex DM01

Introduction

The Emulex DM01 is a qbus ST506-MSCP interface, which means that ST506 disks are seen as normal MSCP devices, and so can be used by Digital's operating systems. It also includes an SA450 floppy disk interface.

There are four connectors and two switchpacks on the module. J1 is the combined ST506 cable, which splits into control and data for HD unit #1 and HD unit #2 (four cables; maximal length 6 metres), and J3 for the daisy-chained SA450 cable (maximal length 3 metres).
